Baked Sweet Potato Chips

Sweet potatoes are one of the highest sources of vitamin A which is necessary for vision, immunity, and reproduction. Also high in fiber, and healthy carbohydrates, this is a great pre or post-workout snack.

Serves 4

Cook and Prep time: 1 hr. 15 minutes


  • 2 cups sweet potatoes sliced thin
  • 2 Tbsp extra virgin coconut oil, melted
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp cumin
  • Pinch of salt


  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.

  2. Line one baking tray with parchment paper

  3. Clean and peel the sweet potatoes, and slice with a mandolin.

  4. Place sliced sweet potatoes in a bowl and set aside.

  5. In a separate bowl, combine melted coconut oil, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, ground cumin seeds.

  6. Pour the oil mixture over the potatoes and toss well.

  7. Place the potato slices in a prepared baking tray lined with parchment paper, and bake for 45 minutes, flipping once, or until crispy.

  8. Serve hot.

Thank you for the recipes. You didn’t have to do that. I was trying to remember the recipe as you made it. I’m 84 and couldn’t keep up. I respect your response but I finally found it amusing what I was doing. Couldn’t resist the little pun. Sorry
