Instant Spiced Corned Beef

Prep and Cook time: 1 hour 40 minutes


  • 2 tbsp. tallow or ghee
  • 2 lbs corned beef
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 spring onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 1/2 tsp yellow mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp fresh chopped parsley
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste


  1. Grease the bottom of your Instant Pot with the tallow.

  2. Add all ingredients from the list in your Instant Pot; stir well

  3. Lock lid into place and set on the MEAT/STEW setting for 80 - 90 minutes.

  4. Use natural release. It takes 10-15 minutes to depressurize naturally.

  5. Transfer the meat to a cutting board and let sit for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain in thin slices.

  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve.
