
Classic Marinara Sauce
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 40–50 Minutes
Yield: 3–4 Cups
Ingredients
- 1⁄4 Cup Extra virgin olive oil
- 10 Cloves garlic, crushed and peeled
- 1⁄2 Tbsp. salt (more to taste if needed)
- 1 - 18–28-Oz. jar crushed tomatoes
- 6 Fresh Basil Leaves
Directions

In a heavy saucepot on low heat, add olive oil, garlic, and salt.

Slowly roast garlic 10 minutes to develop flavors.

Add tomatoes. Crush tomato chunks with wooden spoon. On low heat, cook sauce 30–40 minutes, stirring frequently.

Once the sauce has reduced a bit and flavors have developed, turn the heat off and add basil. Season to taste.

Cool for 30 minutes and spoon into mason jars. Store in the fridge.
