What is a Native Lifestyle
The Best-Kept Secret to Unlocking Your Most Vibrant Health
Few things in life are as important as your health. And this doesn’t just mean your physical appearance—I’m talking about whole-body health. This encompasses managing stress, getting enough sleep, keeping healthy relationships, and of course, eating the right foods for your body.
But how do you do this?
There is a familiar story I’ve heard time and time again and it usually goes something like this: You are unhappy with where you’re at in life. You’re tired—between family and work obligations, you just don’t have enough time in the day to take care of you. I know this feeling because I’ve been there myself.
Once I discovered that I didn’t need to find the next fad diet and exercise myself to death to be healthy, my life truly changed. Now, I eat foods that fuel my specific body type and genetics. I also keep my body strong with key exercises that don’t leave me feeling exhausted. And you can do this too!
Everyone deserves to have a whole-body health plan that uses an individualized approach to skyrocket to success. This is exactly why I want to share with you the Native Lifestyle and what this could mean for you.
Shocking Statistics About Modern Eating Habits and Health
Most people aren’t eating the right foods for their body—or anyone’s body for that matter. They’re eating too many calories and not enough nutrient-dense foods. In addition, many have a diet high in processed, toxic foods. And most people eat too much sugar, sodium, and saturated fats each day.
The truth is, our modern diets are making us sick.
Can you believe just one in ten adults meets the federal fruit and vegetable recommendations each day? The real wake-up call is that more than two-thirds of all adults and more than one-third of all children in the United States are either overweight or obese.1
Those numbers are staggering! Especially since obesity plays a large role in many chronic diseases.
When your diet isn’t rich in fruits and vegetables, it can lead to the following chronic diseases:2
- Type 2 diabetes
- Heart disease
Our Obsession With Working Out Isn’t Working Out
We know we need to exercise but often we skip workouts all together because we have an “all or nothing” mindset. So fewer than one out of four adults in America get the minimum amount of exercise recommended by federal guidelines.3 Even though we spend $28.6 billion dollars on gym memberships each year.4
We all need to get moving more often. Even if it’s just walking more or choosing to take the stairs instead of the elevator. Every extra step counts.
Exercise reduces your risk of:5
- Chronic disease
- Type 2 diabetes
- Coronary artery disease
- Alzheimer’s disease
A lack of exercise has many of the same negative health effects as a poor diet. When you don’t exercise, you miss out on the feel-good endorphins released in your body when you work up a sweat. So not only does exercise lead to better health, but it also elevates your mood and helps fight depression.
Live a Happier, More Fulfilling Life Today
In a society that values being busy, it’s hard to find the time for self-care. This addiction to busyness might mean turning to fast food and television after work because you’re so tired, only to get up tomorrow and do it again. Many of us are operating on autopilot—just going through the motions, but never really living.
You can imagine how your health, both mental and physical, suffer in this scenario. The stress, lack of sleep, and low energy keep you in a state of unhappiness and unhealthiness.
But enough is enough.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve combed through thousands of peer-reviewed research papers to develop the Native Lifestyle, which I’ve refined with my patients.
What Is a Native Lifestyle?
Many people find themselves wanting to break out from the vicious cycle of excess weight and disease but just don’t know where to start. This is exactly why we created the Native Lifestyle. We’re often told if you just follow a certain diet or exercise program, the weight will fall right off.
But you know this isn’t true.
You don’t have to look far to see fad diets failing, and in some cases harming, some participants. Maybe you’ve experienced this heartbreaking situation yourself. This is because none of these one-size-fits-all approaches are individualized to your specific needs.
Living a lifestyle based on your unique genetic makeup truly frees you from a multitude of health issues. In addition, this lifestyle leads to more energy and happiness, because it isn’t a standard diet. A Native Lifestyle is a comprehensive plan formulated just for you to get you on the fast track to living the way you deserve.
What is Ancestral Eating?
Ancestral eating is eating in a way that’s geared towards your genetics—eating as your ancestors ate. Many years ago, a dentist by the name of Dr. Weston Price was eager to discover why he was seeing an increase in dental health issues. So, he set off to travel the world and see what other cultures were doing differently. In the end, he made a truly groundbreaking discovery.
He visited African tribes, Australian Aborigines, and North American Eskimos among many other groups of people.6 After studying these cultures, he discovered these groups had no health issues. Their teeth were straight and free of disease, their bodies were lean and fit, and they were resistant to disease. What people from these cultures all had in common was that they all ate a traditional diet unique to their location and culture. A diet rich in essential food factors.
This is exactly why the Keto diet, Mediterranean diet, and Paleo diet aren’t going to work the same for each person—because we all have a distinct genetic makeup that causes us to process foods differently. Eating real foods in their most natural form, just as your ancestors did, leads to optimal whole-body health and wellness. From our gut bacteria, medications, family histories, and lifestyles, we can clearly see how these individualized factors can cause us to respond to food differently.
You Face Problems Your Ancestors Didn’t
Our ancestors weren’t eating white flour, baked goods, fried foods, excess sugar, and hyper-processed, hyper-palatable food-like substances. The problem with these foods is they’re biologically addictive. The science behind it is clear and conclusive. Yet, the majority of foods that line the shelves at your local grocery store are packed with products that contain these toxic ingredients (a problem our ancient ancestors never had to deal with).
The truth is, your biology has been hijacked by the food industry.
They have done a hostile takeover of your taste buds, brain chemistry, hormones, and metabolism.
For example, did you know sugar is actually more addictive than cocaine?7
If you are trying to use willpower alone to lose weight, you’ll likely fail. But it’s not totally your fault. You have a $198.9 billion dollar industry engineering your food and creating advertisements that target your biggest weaknesses.8
But there is a solution.
Armed with knowledge and personalized recommendations, you can take control back. You have to use a true reset to unhook yourself from these harmful substances.

Living a Native Lifestyle isn’t a cookie-cutter approach to health. It’s a comprehensive plan tailored to you. To begin your journey, I recommend taking the Native Body Type Quiz. On this page, I include a video that gives a thorough explanation of the quiz and what to expect.
Your results from the Native Body Type Quiz include:
- A list of the best foods to fuel your unique body type

- How to improve your skin, bone, and joint health to look and feel years younger
- How to fight inflammation to reduce nagging aches and pains
Bottom line: You’re going to feel and look better.
Adopting an ancestral diet has many health benefits from a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease to cancer.9 Nature has given us nutrient-dense foods that are at our fingertips ready to enjoy. The key is to eat nourishing, healing foods for your body type and avoid foods that cause inflammation, gut irritation, hormone imbalance, and toxicity.
How Do You Move For Your Body Type?
It’s a myth that you need to workout incessantly to get in shape.
Exercising on the Native Lifestyle plan is easy to follow and can be done right out of the comfort of your own home. Plus, no equipment is required. Building a strong body and increasing full-body mobility is key to feeling energized and vibrant. We aren’t designed to sit at desks for hours on end, barely seeing the light of day.
Our ancestors spent their time foraging, hunting, and gathering. This near-constant movement helped mold their bodies—keeping them lean, defined, and strong. Nowadays, it’s rare to live this kind of lifestyle. More often than not, we’re driving to go somewhere, sitting most of the day, and not feeling like we have the time to care for our bodies and health as we should.
The truth is, exercise and movement don’t have to be something you dread. Exercise can be a joyful, invigorating experience. This is why the NativeBody Reset Program includes 30 simple daily routines to follow that can be individualized to your needs and limitations. All of these routines are specifically designed to help you look, feel, and perform at your all-time best.
These routines help to:
- Keep your core strong
- Define your shape
- Keep your body lean
- Reduce pain
- Strengthen joints
- Tone your body
Would You Like to Feel Amazing Inside and Out?
Living a Native Lifestyle isn’t just about diet and exercise. It’s about whole-body health. This means you’re getting enough sleep, managing stress, making time for self-care, and being active in your community. How you think and interact with others plays a critical role in how you look and feel. In fact, feeling good, engaging fully, and doing good all are critical pathways to happiness.10
Evidence suggests positive emotions can result in longer and healthier lives. But emotions alone aren’t enough. Keeping stress levels under control greatly reduces your risk of developing health problems when combined with a positive outlook. Try to be fully present in your life—don’t just go through the motions of the day to day grind.
A few self-nurturing practices I suggest include:
- Deep breathing
- Sleeping 7-8 hours per night
- A little exercise
- Practicing self-love
- Connecting to a community
- It’s ideal if this community is also committed to experiencing life-changing transformations.
The ultimate goal in this area of a Native Lifestyle is to get your body and mind back to their original native setting. This helps you to reexamine your choices, optimize your environment, and re-align yourself with your inherent biological needs to live a more abundant, happy, and fulfilling life.
Shifting to a Native Lifestyle
In a world of fad diets and calorie counting, it’s hard to imagine there’s another way to get the health and physique you want. It’s really a mindset shift, isn’t it?
After your Native Lifestyle shift, you won’t just be thinking in calories. You’ll know 300 calories of cake and 300 calories of fruit are completely different things. One fuels your body and one has almost no nutritional value whatsoever. You’ll start to prefer the one that actually fuels you.
The same can be said for exercise. Instead of thinking of a 30-minute exercise as something you don’t have time for or something that isn’t worth your time, you’ll think of it as something you get to do.
When you start to view movement as a privilege, your workouts will feel more enjoyable. Plus, carving out time to care for yourself isn’t something you’ll ever regret. The best part is, once you start seeing results, you’ll be even more motivated to keep it up.
Some of the many benefits of making the shift to a Native Lifestyle include:
- Feeling energized
- Being happier
- Experiencing easy, smooth digestion
- Feeling better in your skin
- Being able to live life to the fullest
- Not being limited by pain
- Not being a victim to cravings
- Enjoying life with less disease
So you see, making a shift to a Native lifestyle just makes sense because it’s tailored to you. What works for your neighbor or your coworker might not work for you. The Native Lifestyle is 100% focused on an individualized approach to whole-body health. When you maximize nutrition and minimize toxicity, health and vitality follow.
