Healthy Mocha Chip Frappuccino with MCT & Collagen

March 21, 2024

Everything is better with chocolate, right? Mocha chip frappuccinos used to be one of my weaknesses. In fact, I loved them so much that I would drink them year-round, even in cold weather.

But I didn’t love all the sugar, artificial flavoring, and spending $7 every time I wanted to satisfy my craving! So, naturally, I experimented and figured out how to make my own healthier version at home. And I have to say, my version is even better than Starbucks. It’s not only cheaper and faster to make, but starts your day with MCT, collagen, and minerals for your brain and bone health.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Promotes Brain Health: Between the caffeine and antioxidants found in organic coffee and MCT’s ability to protect against neurological issues, you can kiss brain fog goodbye (1, 2).
  • Packed with Nutrients: Cacao nibs are highly nutritious, providing an impressive amount of minerals, including iron, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, manganese, and copper (3). Phosphorus, magnesium, and manganese are vital for healthy bones, while copper and iron are needed for producing red blood cells that supply oxygen to your body (4).
  • Quick and Easy: This frappuccino comes together in only a matter of minutes with just six ingredients. Faster than any coffee shop drive-thru.

Here’s What You Need

  • High-Speed Blender: To quickly and easily mix together your frappuccino into its silky smooth texture.
  • Ice: To help make the drink cold and give it that milkshake-like consistency.
  • Organic Coffee: To serve as the base of the recipe and give you a boost of antioxidants and caffeine without harmful pesticides.
  • Unsweetened Almond Milk: To give the frappuccino its signature creaminess without any gut-irritating dairy.
  • NativePath Mocha Collagen Creamer: To provide sweet chocolate flavor with the added bonus of MCT powder and collagen peptides.
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder: To add a deep, rich chocolate flavor to the frappuccino.
  • Cacao Nibes: To replace the chocolate chips with a more nutrient-dense alternative.
  • Pink Himalayan Salt: To enhance the flavors of the frappuccino and add a bit of healthy sodium.
